A Prayer for Salvation
 
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”  John 3:16-17
God loves you and has a special plan and purpose for your life. God desires to have a personal relationship with every human being.  You can begin that personal relationship with God today by inviting His only son, Jesus Christ, to come into your life as your Savior and Lord.  You can pray to God in your own words.
 
Dear God,

I come to you in the Name of Jesus. I acknowledge that I am a sinner, and I confess my sins. I am sorry for my sins and I need your forgiveness.  I believe that You sent your only begotten Son Jesus Christ to die for my sins, and that He was raised from the dead.  I repent and turn away from my sins and turn to Jesus.  Right now I invite Jesus to come into my heart and be the Savior and Lord of my soul.  I give my life to Jesus and I thank You for saving my soul this very moment.   Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life.  In Jesus Name, Amen.
