Happy Thanksgiving!

A Message From Sheila B. Ministries

Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!
 Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
 Know that the Lord, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.  Psalm 100:1-4

Thanksgiving isn’t just a day that we gather to eat with family and friends; it is a lifestyle for Christians. It is reflected in our appreciation for the transformation that God has made in our lives. Just as Christ met Saul on the Damascus Road and changed his name and nature, He has done that for each of us and today we pause to give Him praise for new beginnings, amazing grace and second chances. As we reflect today and throughout the holiday season, let us celebrate the Word and character of God that never changes despite our ever changing lives, and may we also be thankful for simple pleasures around us.

Scott Wesemann penned these words, and I hope we are reminded of them each day and especially on today.

Lord, so often times, as any other day
When we sit down to our meal and pray
We hurry along and make fast the blessing
Thanks, amen. Now please pass the dressing
We're slaves to the olfactory overload
We must rush our prayer before the food gets cold
But Lord, I'd like to take a few minute more
To really give thanks to what I'm thankful for
For my family, my health, a nice soft bed
My friends, my freedom, a roof over my head
I'm thankful right now to be surrounded by those
Whose lives touch me more than they'll ever possibly know
Thankful Lord, that You've blessed me beyond measure
Thankful that in my heart lives life's greatest treasure
That You, dear Jesus, reside in that place
And I'm ever so grateful for Your unending grace
Amen!

We are wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving and a blessed holiday season.  We are thankful for family, for you, friends, life shared, and for God’s enduring mercy.

God bless you and your family,

Sheila B.
