Description of a Difference Maker

This woman is a chef, a chauffeur, a counselor, a comforter and a cheerleader. This woman will also serve as a teacher, a mentor, and a nurse whenever needed. Whatever she lacks in accomplishing these duties is made up in dedication. She is often led by prayer as she strives to do her best in all of these roles. 

From the moment she knows that she is pregnant she is protective, prayerful and preparing for the most important job of her life. She is a mother. These are women that are linked to children from the womb. However, there are women who are mothers because their link is “heart to heart”. They are the grandmothers, stepmothers, aunts and others who see the need and give unselfishly. God sees these women as well and smiles because the bond may not be due to genetics, but it is certainly due to generosity. 

Every woman who serves as a mother is a difference maker in the life of her child. Her love is immeasurable, unique and never ending. Her nurturing spirit is life changing. Each and every woman who serves as a mother makes a difference in the world- one life at a time.  The only person who loves her child more is God.

Mother’s Day is a day of remembrance.  For those who have lost their mothers- it’s a time to give thanks. Memories of a mother’s love last forever. Her love lessons guide your life no matter how old you are or how long she has been gone.

These women, these difference makers, are worthy of celebration. Not just one day but every day.
Praise God for the gift of mothers.
