Another Year...Another Chance

It’s that time again when we traditionally reflect on the past year and set goals for the new year. I encourage you to take a new approach. Instead of thinking about what you want to accomplish, ask God what He wants you to accomplish.

The new year is another chance to walk in his will. Start with 12 scriptures.   One for each month that will help you draw closer to God.  Then pray and ask God how you can serve him and give him glory in a new way.  Lastly, focus on sacrifice. This may be the hardest one because anytime we have to deny self, it’s often difficult.  God may ask for more of your time. He may lead to you to increase your charitable giving and deny one of your pleasures. Whatever the sacrifice – it will be a test of your desire to follow him.

The combination of Scripture, service and sacrifice will help you form a plan for focusing on God’s will. Expect great blessings in 2026. Your relationship with God will be better because as you draw nearer to God, He will draw nearer to you.
 
Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans. Proverbs 16:3

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. He will establish your plans. Galatians 3: 23-24
