When most of us think of an inheritance, what usually comes to mind are tangible items, like homes, jewels, money, and land. But this type of inheritance does not last. Over time, soil erodes, jewels fade in luster or are lost from their setting, homes require maintenance, and money is spent. The bottom line is that this type of inheritance requires upkeep and investments by you to retain its value, and that can be costly.
 
However, there is another kind of inheritance that is far more valuable, lasts forever, and only requires that you accept it.  God invites us all to receive an amazing inheritance.  He does not offer more to one person than the other. He loves all of us the same.
 
What’s even better is that this inheritance is more than one gift, it’s three gifts wrapped in faithfulness:  salvation by grace, forgiveness, and unconditional love. Nothing is more valuable. Nothing is more needed. Nothing is more unique. These gifts are enjoyed on earth and replenished perpetually in heaven. It is an incomparable inheritance from an incomparable God.
