Memories from S.T.A.N.D. 2010
STAND 2010….For All Ages, Stages, and Seasons

I first attended the S.T.A.N.D. Women’s Conference in 2007 ~ a year prior to my relocation from Dallas, TX. I lived in Dallas for 11 years and had heard about the E.K. Bailey Expository Preaching Conference and later about the S.T.A.N.D. Conference. I stayed away from the conference because I believed it was only for Pastor’s wives. Then, I decided to volunteer for the conference and my eyes were opened to a wealth of information for not only Pastor’s wives, but for women of all ages, stages, seasons, and positions. How had I missed such an opportunity to be filled, encouraged, and equipped? My husband and I moved away from Dallas in 2008 and I realized that I would need the S.T.A.N.D. Conference even more.
S.T.A.N.D. 2009 required that I make a special sacrifice. No longer was the conference “downtown”, but this time I had to travel from Seattle, WA. in order to attend. Yet again, it was a conference to remember. The workshops, luncheon and chats, allowed me to reconnect with old friends and meet new friends while being spiritually fed by great women of God. I returned to Seattle different…strengthened, empowered, filled, and ready to serve.
As I perused this year’s conference brochure, I found myself remembering last year and looking forward with great anticipation to a week of refueling. “Women helping Women to S.T.A.N.D.” will undoubtedly be a life-changing conference. Speakers from all ages, stages, and seasons have been selected to engage, equip, and encourage us in our daily walk with God, through life, and with one another. So, no matter where you find yourself on this journey, this conference is for you. If you are seeking to “Stay in your Lane and find peace in God’s plan”…S.T.A.N.D. is for you. If you are “Running on Empty” and needing to be refilled...S.T.A.N.D. is for you. If you are trying to tune into the “Melodies of your heart”…S.T.A.N.D. is for you. If you are looking to “Live abundantly on life’s leftovers”…S.T.A.N.D. is for you. If you need to “Face your fears with God’s promises”…S.T.A.N.D. is for you. I can’t wait for S.T.A.N.D. 2010!
