Season’s Greetings from the
Sheila B. Ministries Family to Yours

By Cokiesha Bailey Robinson

As you know, at Sheila B. Ministries we have emphasized ‘makeovers’ all year long.  Thank you for sharing your amazing stories.

Stories matter. Your personal and family story matters.  Our story as Americans matter.  Our rich history as African Americans matter and so do our stories as the multi-ethnic, global church.  The best story ever is recorded in redemptive history, however, and it took place in Bethlehem.

Jesus came from heaven to earth and gave Himself to us so that our spiritual makeover story could be made possible. Born to the Virgin Mary, named Immanuel, God with us, Jesus was presented with gifts at the manger that would be a reflection of His Kingship and of His purpose as suffering servant. The wise men knew of His worth and the gifts reflected that understanding.

What gifts will you present to the King of Kings?

Will they be a reflection of your gratitude? Will it reflect God’s story in your story?

Just as the wise men gave their best and just as ‘the little drummer boy played his drum for him,’ our prayer is that each of us will give the Lord the best of our gifts, time, resources and attention.  Pass to the next generation a story of courage, of transparency, of inclusivity, of hope, awareness and of faith.

Give them a story of seeking and finding.   Give them Jesus!

We thank God for the gift of Jesus and for each of you.

Merry Christmas,

Sheila B. & the Sheila B. Ministries Team
